You may have spotted Jevon Carter in a different shade of blue running and gunning down the hardwood as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies.
Carter, BS ’18, Sport Management, was selected 32nd in this year’s NBA draft after his glorious career at West Virginia University. The shifty guard was twice named the best defensive player in college basketball and his stats back it up. Carter holds the school record for steals per season and career.
The Maywood, Ill., native is also the first major college player to score more than 1,500 points, yank down more than 500 rebounds, dish out more than 500 assists and nab more than 300 steals during his career.

Carter saw plenty of action in the NBA Summer League and five preseason games. But on Oct. 22, he was assigned to the Memphis Hustle, the Grizzlies’ NBA G League affiliate. Hopefully, we’ll see him back on the main roster this season.
